Jeremy P. Green EA, CFP, CTFA, CLU, CEBS, MSFS, AEP
I have 19 years of experience working with closely held business owners and other clients with significant assets to integrate and clarify their combined business, estate, philanthropic, tax, investment and life insurance plans. I have eliminated millions of dollars in unnecessary present and future combined fees, estate, income and capital gains taxes by restructuring how assets are owned, redoing business operating agreements to preserve otherwise lost tax cost basis, simplifying the number and complexity of existing trust arrangements, fixing poorly designed and maintained life insurance policies, and reducing excessive investment management expenses.
I am admitted to practice before the IRS as an Enrolled Agent. Additionally, I am a Certified Financial Planner®, Certified Trust Financial Advisor, Certified Employee Benefit Specialist, Chartered Life Underwriter, Accredited Estate Planner, as well as a graduate of the Institute of Certified Bankers National Graduate Trust School, the American Institute of Banker’s Personal Trust School and the American College’s Master of Science in Financial Services degree program.
I have testified in FINRA three judge panel arbitration and US Federal District Court cases as an expert witness on the proper use and design of sophisticated trust/estate and life insurance funding techniques. I am a former President and board member of the Twin Cities Society of Financial Service Professionals, in addition to having served seven years as the national online asset management course instructor for the Certified Employee Benefit Specialists designation program. Finally, I am a member of the Twin Cities Estate Planning Council.
I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism using the GI Bill and Army College Fund after completing active federal military service in the United States Army’s Second Infantry Division stationed in the Republic of Korea from 1996 to 1998. I enjoy reading, documentaries, weightlifting, bicycling and time with family, friends, and colleagues. I reside in Edina, MN.
I have over eight years of experience working as an analyst in the wealth management sector, specializing in operational, financial, and data analytics. Over that time, I also consulted with small businesses and entrepreneurs as part of the Northfield Enterprise Center, and lectured annually at St. Olaf as an integral part of their capstone management class. I graduated with distinction in Economics, with an emphasis in Management, and a major in Mathetics from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. I’m enrolled in Notre Dame University’s MBA program starting this fall.
